Role Summary

An experienced Operations Assistant Manager to support and drive daily delivery and logistics operations. The role focuses on fleet and driver management, operational performance, cross‑department coordination, and ensuring timely, high‑quality customer deliveries while maintaining cost and service KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily delivery operations and ensure on‑time order fulfilment.

• Manage and supervise drivers and fleet: scheduling, attendance, performance monitoring, and discipline.

• Monitor delivery performance metrics (on‑time rate, delivery per driver, cancellations, customer complaints) and implement corrective actions.

• Coordinate with dispatch, customer service, warehouse, and maintenance to resolve operational issues and optimize workflows.

• Implement and enforce SOPs for safety, vehicle maintenance, cash handling, and customer service.

• Prepare daily and weekly operational reports for senior management and recommend process improvements.

• Support recruitment, training, and onboarding of drivers and operations staff; run performance reviews and coaching sessions.

• Manage fleet utilization and cost control including fuel, maintenance scheduling, and vendor coordination.

• Use ERP or operations systems (Odoo experience is a plus) to track orders, inventory, and performance.

• Handle escalations from customers or field staff and ensure timely resolution.

Requirements

• 3–5 years’ experience in logistics, delivery operations, or fleet management.

• Proven experience managing drivers and field teams.

• Strong knowledge of fleet operations, route planning, and delivery KPIs.

• Familiarity with ERP systems; Odoo experience is an advantage.

• Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

• Good analytical skills and comfort preparing operational reports and dashboards.

• Valid Kuwait driving licence and willingness to visit sites/depots as needed.

• Leadership skills with a hands‑on approach to problem solving.

Performance Indicators

• On‑time delivery rate (target to be defined by company).

• Average deliveries per driver per shift.

• Customer complaint and cancellation rates.

• Fleet uptime and maintenance compliance.

• Cost per delivery and fuel efficiency.
