Job Vacancy: Head Chef (Japanese Cuisine)

A new Japanese delivery concept in Kuwait is looking for an experienced and talented Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. We are seeking a professional chef with strong expertise in authentic Japanese cuisine, menu development, and kitchen operations.

The ideal candidate should have experience managing high-volume kitchens and the ability to maintain excellent food quality, consistency, and hygiene standards.

• Lead and manage daily kitchen operations.
• Develop and execute authentic Japanese menus and recipes.
• Prepare and supervise preparation of Japanese dishes including:
  • Sushi
  • Sashimi
  • Ramen
  • Donburi
  • Tempura
  • Yakitori
  • Udon
  • Katsu and other Japanese specialties.
• Train and guide kitchen staff to maintain quality standards.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
• Manage food costing, inventory control, and ingredient purchasing.
• Create standardized recipes and kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
• Handle busy service periods while maintaining efficiency and quality.

✅ Must be currently residing in Kuwait (Local Hiring Only).
✅ Minimum 5 years of experience in Japanese cuisine.
✅ Proven experience as Head Chef, Sous Chef, or senior Japanese cuisine chef.
✅ Experience in developing Japanese restaurant concepts and menus.
✅ Strong knowledge of authentic Japanese cooking techniques.
✅ Experience in fast-paced and high-volume kitchen environments.
✅ Excellent leadership and team management skills.
✅ Knowledge of:

• Food costing
• Inventory management
• Recipe standardization
• Food safety procedures

• Salary: 280–350 KD (Depending on experience and skills).
