Job Vacancies: HV Substation & Engineering Positions

A leading engineering and contracting company in Kuwait is looking for experienced professionals for the following positions. Candidates must be currently available in Kuwait with transferable visa and ready for immediate joining.

✅ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
✅ Minimum 5 years of experience in HV substation testing & commissioning.
✅ Kuwait / MEW project experience preferred.
✅ Hands-on experience in testing and commissioning of:

• 132kV GIS and 11kV Switchgear
• Protection relays (Siemens 7SR series or equivalent)
• Power transformers
• Battery chargers, DC systems, and auxiliary transformers
• CTs, VTs, circuit breakers, cables, and earthing systems
• Primary injection, secondary injection, HV testing
• Functional and interlock testing
• SCADA/Telemetry systems and station energization activities

• Knowledge of IEC standards.
• Ability to prepare testing reports.
• Coordination experience with clients, consultants, and OEM representatives.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical skills.

• Supervise daily electrical installation activities.
• Coordinate manpower, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
• Oversee installation of:
  • GIS switchgear (400kV & 132kV)
  • Power transformers and shunt reactors
  • 11kV switchgear and control/protection panels
  • Power, control, and fiber optic cables
  • Cable trays, earthing systems, batteries, chargers, and auxiliary equipment
• Ensure work follows approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with engineers, clients, OEMs, and testing teams.
• Monitor quality, productivity, and safety standards.
• Prepare daily progress reports.
• Support pre-commissioning and testing activities.

✅ Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
✅ Minimum 5 years of experience in HV substation erection projects.
✅ Kuwait experience in MEW/MEWRE, PAHW, KOC, KNPC, or similar projects preferred.
✅ Strong knowledge of GIS substations, transformers, switchgear, cables, and electrical equipment.
✅ Ability to read construction drawings.
✅ Good leadership and communication skills.
✅ Kuwait driving license is an advantage.

• Manage daily office operations and administrative activities.
• Support HR functions including recruitment coordination, employee records, attendance, leave, onboarding, and documentation.
• Coordinate project documentation, correspondence, and technical records.
• Track project schedules, manpower, and milestones.
• Prepare meeting minutes, reports, and follow up on actions.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Assist with tender documentation, quotations, and contract administration.
• Maintain organized company and project filing systems.

✅ Minimum 3 years of experience in office administration, project coordination, or technical secretarial work.
✅ Engineering, construction, or electrical contracting experience preferred.
✅ Kuwait experience preferred.
✅ Excellent organizational and communication skills.
✅ Strong MS Office knowledge (Excel, Word, Outlook).
✅ Experience with document control systems is an advantage.
✅ Strong English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
